About This Pattern

Blazing star, also known as gayfeather or Liatrus, is a native prairie plant that pollinators love, especially monarch butterflies. These fingerless mitts remind me of blazing star—they both have a vertical growth habit and are easily adaptable! The yarn, Prairie Spun from Brown Sheep, is a native-prairie yarn—a perfect match! The cable pattern and ribbing are quite elastic; unstretched, the smaller size measures 6." (16.5 cm) but fits easily around an 8" (20.5 cm) hand.
